I'm going to start a little section of random thoughts of things that I've learned since moving to Iowa... There is no particular order or importance... just things I've come to know...
* Parking places are larger in West Des Moines than in KS
* Some cities actually do a great job plowing streets and sidewalks after a snow (not that Lawrence doesn't do a good job, WDM is just GREAT at it)
* It's really cold here sometimes -- Anna and I think it's the coldest we've ever been -- probably Owen too, but he can't talk yet so I don't want to assume
* I have never known what it's like to truly miss a group of people and family-- now I have a pretty good idea
