Well, I'd like to report that Anna is having a blast, but that would be a bit of an exaggeration. She has been having a lot of trouble in the mornings during dropoff. We've been fortunate enough to walk or have her ride her bike most days. She LOVES that part. But, just this last week, she's really been struggling with having me leave her. It's really been hard for both us. I don't know if it's truly all being upset or some of it being a show for me and the teacher. I mean she does get a lot of attention. :) But, I also don't want to be too insensitive. I know she's struggling a little.... We'll keep working on it. Luckily, her teacher has been so wonderful about the whole thing and she emails me as soon as Anna stops crying and starts participating (which is usually only 5-10 minutes after I leave her).
Owen has really enjoyed having me to himself since Anna has been in school. He's laughing and carrying on most days. Yesterday, it was his third day of a "weird" nap time. He basically had a bad day, but that was the first... I've been feeling kind of bad because by 22 mos, Anna had been in some music and movement classes, library storytime and probably other things. Owen hasn't really done anything with me except one story time. So, I've got him enrolled in storytime at the local library and a mommy and me music class. I lucked out... both are free and very short. :)
Anna has been on me since we moved here to get her enrolled in gymnastics. I finally, finally enrolled her last week. She'll be going to a great place here. She's used to the Lawrence Parks and Rec gymnastics and this one is a bit more structured and she should learn a lot. Her friends from across the street take gymnastics and they have already helped her improve her handstands and cartwheels just by all the 'practices' and 'recitals' they hold in our front yard.
We just LOVE our neighbors -- had to say it!

Poor little lamb *rubbs heart*
I hope she enjoys her new gymnastics class and makes a great new BFF!
