E.R. --- Well, it wasn't so bad...

So, Owen has had his SECOND trip to the E.R. in his lifetime. He's not even two, but he seems to like the E.R.

He's feeling much better now, but I have to say, this is not how I expected to spend the day. He got a temperature last night, and was coughing pretty good. Throughout the night, the cough got worse, and you guessed it, 'barky' sounding.

I called first thing this morning and the first available appointment was at 1:15p. I took him in and they got him started on a breathing treatment. He ended up having three while we were there. His pulse/ox level was below their 'acceptable level.' They don't want it any lower than 92 and his was an 87 or 89 - there was so much going on, I can't remember which. Anyway, since his pulse/ox didn't improve as much as they wanted it to, I had to take him the E.R. for a different type of medicine/treatment which they can't do in doctors' offices.

We had to stay at the E.R. for a few hours so they could give him the treatments and observe him. Luckily, we were able to come home around 8p. He's eaten a little since we've gotten home and drank a lot of water... Luckily, I don't hear any more wheezing, barking or anything that might even suggest he's sick! Thank goodness he's feeling sooo much better!! We're just praying that the worst is over and we can get through the night tonight!

Bye for now,
Becky
