Second Tooth Gone....

We did not have the best week last week. A week ago Sunday night, Anna came down with the flu. It hit hard and fast. Doctors believe it was the h1n1 flu. Luckily, she went on Tamiflu and she was feeling good enough to go back to school on Thursday. Unfortunately, she had a minor set back that included vomiting over the weekend. I won't even go into the rest of the family and the other flu woes...

Back to the tooth... This whole time her tooth has been pretty loose. She kept asking me to pull it and I would test it and thought it was still in there to stay for a few more days. After not getting the response from me that she wanted, she asked Dan to pull it. So he did. Pulled it right out and left a screaming, crying little girl.

The first tooth was sooo loose that I really just tipped it out so there was no blood to speak of. Anna didn't even realize it did bleed. I think she thought it would be that way each time a tooth came out and I kind of hoped it would be that way each time. Because if anyone knows anything about Anna, they know she HATES blood. Of course this time, there was a lot of blood.... lot of screaming and a lot of crying... oh, did I mention that before?

Let's just hope she lets us help her again. She's not one to get back on the horse if she falls off. I told Dan this might be the last time the tooth fairy visits our house because Anna will probably just keep her teeth in until they jump out on their own....
