On February 1st, 2009, Dan and some of our wonderful friends, loaded up a U-Haul truck filled with approximately 1/3 of our belongings. I, along with Owen, Anna, my mom and her friend Karen, followed in cars. We all made the trek to West Des Moines, IA.
One year ago today, we walked out of our home in KS to a new, different life one state away.
I would love to go into my feelings on this matter tonight, but I'm afraid it's late and tears will ensue. I will say, that although we miss, truly miss, with hearts tugging, our wonderful friends and family, we do really, really like it here.
