Story Time and Owen...

Owen and I go to storytime at a local library once a week. I've taken both kids since they were really little. We love the Clive Library (shown below) because the classes are small, last 20 minutes and have songs and stories. Owen has finally, after a year attending this story time, moved from my lap to the carpet. And sadly, now that he is turning three, will be moving to the preschool story time soon where mommies don't attend with the kids. We sing two 'welcome' songs at the beginning and Owen, just today, finally started doing the movements... The first song is so cute - called "Tony Chestnut" after a bear, but really is "toe, knee, chest, nut (head) - nose I love you, toe knee nose, toe knee nose." Super cute... you point to the different parts of your body. Then, we do "Open, Shut Them." This is a song to help keep your hands to your self and in your lap... cute, cute...
