Last Friday, Anna, Dan and Owen went down to the creek (a secrect club - according to Anna) that's near her school with her good friend, Ellie. Ellie was the one who had initially found this cool place to explore. She's been down to the creek at total of three times in the last four days... This is how she came home today...
Some good friends of ours from Kansas were so nice to give us this bike a couple of years ago for Owen to ride (thank you Schrock family!). We've kept it and finally figured he was ready to ride it. The tire had gone flat, so off he and I went to the bike store today to get a new tube and tire. As soon as Daddy got home, he helped him fix it and off he went. Anna explained how to use the breaks and then Daddy explained how to pedal a big boy bike. He's ridden his trike for a couple of years, so it shouldn't have been too different, but he still needed a little help...

Anna starts some new things this year!! She was in Daisies last year and has moved up to Brownies for 2nd grade. Her first meeting is Thursday and she is SOOO excited. I ironed on the patches tonight (a first for me). I think it suits her! We get to spend some time this weekend with her Great Aunt Paula and cousin Keyna who are Girl Scout experts - she might even get to cook some dessert over the camp fire. She's really looking forward to it!!
