Luckily, Anna had Monday off from school, so we were able to stay until Monday morning giving us the entire day on Sunday to hang out with the Scotts! We were able to visit and just veg in the morning while the kids played outside. Then, Heather and I went to IKEA (I'm becoming a regular now) and Dan and Todd took the kids to an Indian Princess get together. Once back home, the kids got in some more play time and we had a very nice meal (thanks Todd!)...
We hadn't been to visit the Scotts since they lived in TX. Although, we've seen them a few times in between. We've vowed to not let so much time pass before we see them again! In fact, we're planning a trip back to Chicago this summer and we're hoping they make it our way soon too. The older girls got along so well and the younger ones played a little - but mostly on their own :). There's nothing better than hanging out with people who have known you forever and you can just be you! So thanks again, Scotts! We had a wonderful time and left with so many GREAT memories!!
One last note... On our way home, we stopped at the world's LARGEST (yep - it's true) truck stop on I-80 in eastern Iowa. It was SO exciting!! My dad says I'm becoming the new 'Clark Griswold' of our family! I'll own it - proudly!! And, Clark Sr - I promise to make you proud!
