What a beautiful day to ride to the High Trestle Bridge! The sun was shining and the skies were a gorgeous blue. We drove to Woodward, IA (about 30 min) with our bikes and the trailer for Owen and got on the trail to Madrid, IA. In between the two towns is the High Trestle Bridge that used to be an old railroad bridge that has now been coverted to a trail. It's 13 stories above the Des Moines River valley and you can see for miles! From Woodward to Madrid it's 5.6 miles, so we rode 11.2 miles round trip - Anna's longest ride yet! She did a great job on her new bike! The best part was that we were able to go with our good friends, the Liskeys. It was just such an awesome day!
