The Des Moines 'Blank Park Zoo'

We finally made it to the zoo! Woo Hoo! We went last Friday (before the fall) and were very excited to have a nice morning to go. It's a little larger than the Topeka Zoo and smaller than the KC Zoo, so we thought it was "just right!" They even have sea horses!

One really neat thing about moving here is all of the fun opportunities we have to get out and do things. They have hockey (which we don't know a thing about), they have a minor league team (I think it's for the Cubs), they have arena football, the Iowa State Fair, Blank Park Zoo, an amusement park, the Science Center, and of course the Living History Farms. There a lot of other things as well, they just aren't coming to mind right now. We went ahead and got a 'trifamily' pass that allows us to go to the Science Center, Zoo and Living History Farms. For those that want an incentive to come and visit, we also did an add-on where we can get in two additional people (no age restrictions) for free. So come and visit!!

Enjoy the pictures from the zoo!
