I can't believe another month has gone by... I don't always remember when he hits a 'monthly' birthday, just sometimes see the date and it hits me - he's another month older.
He's just sooo cute these days... His blonde hair is growing out again. When it's wet, he has ringlet curls. He's coming out of his shell, more and more, with people he sees on a regular basis. Finally, finally, he's putting two words together. He doesn't do it all of the time, but 'drink peas' and 'luv lu' (love you) comes out from time to time. He's still a snuggle bug with mommy - thank goodness... It seems all he wants to do is play with golf and throw balls. He also LOVES putting together puzzles. With help, he's doing 24 piece (no border) puzzles. He loves watching Curious George ("Gourge") and Elmo ("Melmo").
I feel bad for him, though, because he wants to do everything himself. He wants to get his own drinks (which I won't let him yet), he wants to pick out his own cereal, he wants to get up in his own chair and get down without help. He wants to put on his own coat and shoes... The list can go on and on. He's very independent. And, along with that, he's VERY sad when he can't do it himself.
Recently, he has decided that he would like to go potty on the potty. He wants to try at least once - twice per day. Now, if you know me, I'm kind of a late potty trainer. I wanted Anna to be ready before we tried. I just don't have the patience for too many accidents. I never would have thought to try to get Owen on the potty this early. But, he wants to get on all of the time, always before baths. Unfortunately, though, he hasn't gotten it down, because he hasn't really gone potty on the potty, he just likes to try. :)
Oh, my sweet Owen, I hope someday you will know how much I love you...
