LOST: Top Front Tooth!!!

Anna has always had perfectly straight teeth. When she was a toddler, she did have a bit of gap between the top two teeth, but they were still cute and straight and soon enough, the gap was closed. The past few weeks, one of her top front teeth has become loose. At first, a small gap was created between her front tooth and the one next to it. So, she kept putting her tongue through the small gap and soon it was a large gap and the front tooth was cockeyed, slightly over the other front tooth. We have been trying so hard to get it out and today noticed it was starting to turn a grayish color (eww).

So.... Dan and I both tried to be gentle and pull it. But, we all know how Anna is -- afraid of the blood and the pain -- so we didn't want to freak her out. We then began to offer her money... $5, then $10, then $20 if one of us could do it. We asked if she would let our neighbors pull it (as a joke to help her realize we should just pull it). We asked if we could put a string around it. We even asked if she would consider pulling it herself. NOPE...

Knock, knock... Someone's at the door. Peyton (10yrs) and Gilli (7yrs) are at the front door returning flour that they had borrowed earlier in the morning. Anna showed them her tooth and Peyton asked if she could feel it. She told Anna her dad could pull it, but Anna said no. Then, Peyton asked if she could pull it. Anna said no... Then, Peyton wiggled it again and they walked off the porch. Anna followed them down and Peyton asked if she could wiggle it again - in a flash, the tooth was out!! No crying from Anna, no pain, a little blood - but all is good. Anna got a good laugh out of Peyton pulling her tooth for her and as she describes tricking her into pullint it. We all ran over to show Peyton and Gilli's parents and then off to show our other friends next door.

So now tooth number four is gone... First top front tooth... SUPER CUTE!!
Peyton, Anna and Gilli ...
