All EARS!!

So excited as I write this post - I took Owen to the E.N.T this morning to have a check up on his ear tubes since it's now been a year since he had them put in (12/18/09). We found out that both tubes have fallen out as they should have done and that everything looks VERY healthy. He also had a hearing test and PASSED!! So, no additional tubes planned for now and we don't have to use ear plugs ANYMORE!! I am to keep a close watch on his speech and make sure he's looking at us when we call his name (but -- could be if he doesn't, he's just being a 3yr old boy). If we see any problems down the road, we're to have them checked out, but as right now, we can close this chapter!!

As I look back to a little over a year ago, and how concerned we were with his speech (well, speech delay really), I know putting those tubes in was the exact thing he needed. He is speaking just as he should for his age now. We sometimes have to laugh, because he truly does speak very well now and ALOT! Just this morning he was singing "Shake your booty, shake your booty..." Yeah, I don't know where he got that one!! :)
