Happy Easter!

We started our weekend with an Easter Egg Hunt in Waukee... It was chilly, but fun!

They had an "under 4" section and then an older section for Anna's age. Here's Daddy and Owen - they hunted together!

Kiddos after the hunt!

Yes, those are Owen's feet hanging out of the couch. He got tired Saturday night around 6:30p, went upstairs, got his nuk and climbed in... It grew quiet, so when we checked on him, this is what we found.

Easter morning

Here we are!

We truly enjoyed having Grandma and Grandpa here to celebrate with us!

What a wonderful weekend we had! Most importantly, what a wonderful Easter morning!

Often, I cannot find the words to express my faith. But, I have to say a little something on this beautiful day...

During Good Friday service, they spoke about how Mary must have felt being Jesus' mother and the anguish she was going through. How she could not bear to see her son in so much agony...dying... but yet how could she not watch. She watched as Jesus carried the cross, bloodied from his punishment to his death. As a mother, I can't even imagine...

I was brought to tears as I thought of how much God loved us to have his son die on the cross for me, even with all my imperfections and issues, for me - for us.

And, then, on the third day, Jesus rose from the dead - "He is Risen! HE IS RISEN INDEED!" Oh, what a wonderful day - for me, for my children, for you!

We pray each night and thank God for our blessings, our family and friends... So, know that tonight we will be thanking God for you...

Happy Easter,
Becky
