Owenisms

It's always fun to catch the kids saying something you want to remember....

A few weeks ago heading to preschool, Owen pipes up from the backseat, "When I grow up, I want to be an ice cream guy, race car guy, basketball guy and street cleaner.  Oh, and a baseball guy.  But, first I want to be a street cleaner."  (He's going to be one busy "guy").  Ironically, that day at school they talked about what they wanted to be when they grew up and he said only one thing - an astronaut.

We went bowling a couple of weekends ago with the kids.  When Owen's turn was done, he looked at Anna and said, "You're up, Sister Christian."  (You know, from Night Ranger's song - that was my fault).

Then last Friday, I was picking up the house and no one was really helping like I'd asked them to.  I asked them all what they would do if I stopped cleaning the house, doing laundry, making food, etc.  Then they wouldn't be able to have friends over with such a messy house and I wouldn't play games or do anything fun.  I would just sit around and read (something I enjoy).  Owen says to me, "You know what I would do?  I would read with you."  Such a sweet boy.
