I decided to treat the kids today and take them to see a movie this afternoon.

Just the three of us...

We picked "Rio" - a super cute movie about some near extinct birds. I loved sitting between the two kids, often watching them instead of the movie. Anna, laughing and eyes wide open, moving to the music. And Owen, this was his second movie in the theater. He was mesmorized by the scenes and beautiful colors. His feet didn't even reach the edge of the seat when he was sitting back all the way. He ate his popcorn one piece at a time and drank from his little cup, cheeks puffed out. About 3/4 of the way through the movie, he asked if he could move to the other side of Anna and sit next to 'sister.' Right after he moved, the evil villian bird popped up out of nowhere and both kids pulled up their arms and waved their hands in fear - at the same time! HILARIOUS! Then, they laughed together as they realized everything was okay.

As the movie came to a close, the end scenes were filled with fun music and dancing. Both kids swayed and moved their little bodies to the music...

Such a great day for a movie!
