Let me first say, I realize parents are not supposed to be 'friends' with their children. That being said this is what Anna said today...
Anna: "Tomorrow at school is 'Love Your Friend Day.'"
Mom: "That's so sweet."
Anna: "You're my best friend and you'll be my best, best, best friend forever."
Mom: "Thank you." (gave big hug)
Anna: "Well, you have to be my best friend because you're my mom."
Mom: "Well, not really. Some kids don't think their moms are their friends."
Anna: "You have to be my best friend because you make really good popcorn for me."
Ahh... Now it makes sense...
